We received our first email from Hope since she arrived in the Philippines: Here it is. Hi Mom :) How are you? It is actually 3.50pm here so that makes it about 1.50am there. haha it has been so crazy these last few days and i swear i am dying of heat! It is sooo freaking hot here i could kill myself! and there is no air conditioning :( but life goes on... I went to the grocery store today and it was so nice and cold! SO my companion is Sister __. she is Filipino and she is super nice :) I don't think i have any pics of her and me on my camera. Oh guess what... Sister __ is my room mate, its a lot better now that i don't have to be with her every single day. Ha i wrote you a letter but IDK how to send it or where to send it from so hopefully next Monday i'll find the place to mail it! It has more information and such. But I miss you and I love you all! Thanks for the pictures I loveeee them :) tell the family HI for me. I don't have much time to write because we were doing service for like 3 extra hours today so we are way behind schedule. I'll write you more if i have time after I write an email to the President... Love you! She also wrote this: I had my first baptism on Saturday and I have one this Saturday and like 3 the next! Here are some pictures she also sent: I am guessing that they were taken in Provo before she left for the Philippines.

An Update

So as most of you know, Hope is getting ready to depart from the MTC on the 20th, which is Monday, she flies out of SLC International, Layover in Seattle, Then she boards a plane to Tokyo, and from Tokyo to Manila, she should arrive the next day. She has a long flight ahead of her, so I am asking all of you to please pray for her safe arrival to the Philippines. I can't believe that she has been in the MTC for almost 6 weeks now. Yesterday she sent me a letter and enclosed with the letter was her Missionary schedule that she has had to live by for the past few weeks, and let me tell you, she has been a very busy missionary. Enclosed is a picture of her Zone at the MTC, I hope that you enjoy it. She looks so happy doesn't she. Just think that my next post will probably be after she gets to the Philippines.

Letter #4

I received Hope's fourth letter in the mail yesterday! She is doing great. She mentioned in her letter this: Today we gave a lesson only in Tagalog and it went very well. It was short, but it went well. Yea Maria, (Sis. Webre) is my morning teacher and she is a really good teacher. She teaches in English and Tagalog." She also mentioned that she has seen Sister K'Loni Lowry twice now at the MTC :) Today marks her half-way point in the MTC, I can't believe that she has been there for 3 weeks. She also mentioned in her letter this: I am excited to get to the Philippines but also nervous. I am starting to understand Tagalog more every day more and more. Don't worry I pray soooo much :) I do love the people, even it I want to knock them out.( the last sentence was written because her companion is mean to her sometimes) She also said that her zone goes to the temple on her P-Days for breakfast, and she says the food there is wonderful. She also says that the weather in Provo isn't that warm but it gets nicer every day! I don't think I'll dream in Tagalog until July, I'll get it I know! One of my favorite words in the Bible and Book of Mormon is the word PEACE, So hope wrote down how peace is written in Tagalog: it is Kapayopaan, I thought that , that was really thoughtful of her to do that for me. Mike and I have such an amazing daughter! Hope also wrote some other stuff that I won't bore you with, it's just answers to some of my questions that I had for her. But anyway, she is doing great. Now I am going to download some pictures that she finally sent me. So enjoy the pictures.
