Bacarra

Hey Everyone, I hope that you had a great week, as for our Little Missionary Miss Hope, She seemed to have a great week. This might be a little jumbled, but here are some excerpts from her email yesterday, I wrote and told her that a package was on it's way and this is what she replied: Aww I am so excited for my package :) I will love it i know it! :) So how was church today? Yesterday we had 4 investigators at church :) We had these 2 really old ladies who are sisters and we were very surprised to see them there because they told us that they weren't coming but they came, i just love little miracles like that! :)

I have found that when I send Hope a package to plaster a bunch of Mother Mary pictures all over the box, with doing this, she has received every package so far: knock on  wood~~~~
This is what said about the package: haha the mother Mary pictures just kill me they are so creepy and i just love it! :)

And she sent alot of pictures this week: But before the pictures I heard from her companion and her companion wrote  this with 2 pictures attached:
Dear Mama Kenfield,

How are you? :)

Sister Kenfield and I locked ourselves out of apartment on our second day in Bacarra. That's probably November 6.

It is so hot in Bacarra that I ran out of water an hour into proselyting so we decided to go back to our apartment to refill our bottles. On our way out, I noticed that my entire water bottle spilled in my bag and my scriptures, all my things were wet. I hung my bag outside our apartment and just got my other one so we could hurry out. As soon as I closed our door I realized that our key was in my wet bag.

We tried to tao po at our next door neighbor's home so we can just reach over the wall for my bag but no one was answering. Sis. Kenfield suggested we just climb. She was supposed to do it but she couldn't so I went up and crossed the top of the wall. SEE THE PHOTOS! Hahaha.

As soon as I got the key from my bag, our neighbor came out asking, "Sister, what are you doing?" It was embarrassing haha. But all is well, our neighbor doesn't hate us. :)
Ummm MMmm

This is her companion. so glad that they found their keys.

Her last baptism before leaving Vigan: Hope sure does love this lady. This lady will become a very strong member of the church that is for sure!

Hope looks so happy!
Well that is it for this week, I hope that you enjoyed the pictures. And if you are wondering, Hope does write long letters home, I don't share those often, I just like sharing news from her e-mails.
But from her last letter she is doing the Lord's work, and she strives everyday to be a good missionary. She loves the Philippine people.
Oh, yesterday was my birthday, and this is how she finished her email:Happy Birthday :) Love you! :),
So until next time: I pray that everyone has a good day. and God Bless!!!!

KFC

Hope has certainly had a couple busy weeks, 2 weeks ago she had her first transfer to a small town in her mission called Bacarra, her companion is Sister Sese, whom she just ha connected with so well.
In her email last night she opened with this: I am doing great, I just stuffed face at KFC :) it was delicious they have never ending gravy :) I do know Elder HanoHano. Wow, that is crazy! Does she know any Oden's from Hawaii? Cause Elder Oden and Elder HanoHano know each other they are both from Hawaii. But Elder Oden's family moved to the Big Island. I have had alot of emails making sure that i was ok. My Zone Leaders mom was on TV because she posted on facebook that her twin sons were in the Philippines and the news caught that and interviewed her. Elder Ewell is his name, his twin is in Cebu right where all the mess went down but don't worry he's OK. That is so nice that faith and James came down :) I bet it was really nice to see them. Oh dad took 4 days off, fun :) yay McKell, i am so glad to hear that she is doing so well! Oh poor Tylers mom, but 3 weeks i bet he is excited! I am safe dont' worry. the next baptisms are in December on the 7th. haha and all i can hear in my head is Scott saying "December 7, 1941" haha well love you.

yep KFC filipina style and guess what is so delicious. gravy on rice. who woulda thought :p

I miss you too! Alot. :) I love the pictures you took of the fam :) it made my heart smile: Here is one of the pictures.

Well that is all for now, I pray that everyone is doing well, May God Bless all of you and keep you safe.

1st Transfer

Transfer time for our Missionary:
Last night in Hope's email she told me that she was definitely being transferred! She seems so excited about this, A couple of weeks ago she wasn't as excited about the change, but she seems to be doing OK with it now. Which is a good thing. She also knows who her companion is, and she is so happy about it, because she knows that Sister quite well.
She had a baptism on Saturday, the person who was baptized has become a good friend to Hope, I wouldn't be surprised if she and her beautiful family were to come to America one day for a visit.
Here are the pictures that she posted:
Her companion seemed to be a very good sprot that day1 Looks like fun!
