Washing Machine

We heard from Hope last night in an email, and she is doing Great! She didn't have much time to email, but she was able to send a few pictures this week. So here they are, Enjoy!
They apparently got a new washing machine, nothing like I have ever seen before, but she said this about washing her clothes:
Ha pretty sure my hand washing skills are not that great haha but it needs to be done :p hehe and I like the calmness of it. even if it's rough on my poor stretched clothes.
I SURE DO WISH THAT SHE HAD ACCESS TO A DRYER, IT WOULD HELP HER CLOTHES OUT, AND MAYBE GET THEM BACK TO THEIR NORMAL SHAPE.
But small sacrifices!

PICTURES

So proud of her, now she knows how to clean clothes without using electricity!

There's that face!

I love her face in this one
This is referred to as Filipina Nanay

 Yay weekly planning :)

Love the Turkey in the mix

A Reece's tree that made it all the way from Utah to her, and it didn't melt as much as I thought it would!

It made it and it only melted a little! yep i had an "i need Reece's day" the other day

A letter that I sent her, and it arrived to her in a baggie, who knows what happened in transit!

This is what was going on during personal study the other day.. . very distracting :p
That's it for the week, Loved hearing from her. She hit her 10 month mark today!
Please pray that she and her companion have some success this week, things are going really slow for them.
May God bless you and keep you all safe, until next time, Have a great day!

  1. Hi Sister Kenfield. I am so proud of you and what an experience for life you are having. I am excited seeing your accomplishments and how you are learning a new way of life. I said the other day my mission has guided and directed my entire life and I know it will you as well. Even on the days/weeks that work is slow and we feel it is not going as fast as we'd like, look down the road and who knows what the handing of one Book of Mormon can do. My son in Perth, Australia on his mission tracked a door one day with his comp and the lady said sorry but I am in a hurry. Jonathan told her that if she would just accept this book and any questions call the number inside. When I went home to Australia to pick him up I met that lady at church in one of his old wards, and several of her family members who from that contact joined the church, and it was 14 months later after he handed her the B of M, at a church meeting in Duncraig, WA, that she walked up to us and said "Elder Olsen, you don't remember me do you." (he was transferred from that area a few days after he handed her the B of M.) He said no. She said she could not get this 6'5" skinny red head off her mind and the spirit he carried, so finally she called the number in the book, and as a result many of her family, and the lady, joined the church. So there you go. I am sure you know the seed is planted and years later may be when your seed finally matures and accepts the gospel. You are sewing great seeds Sister Kenfield and we love you and so proud of you and all our 3rd ward missionaries. Sister Olsen
